FAST

Join us at 7:00 pm on Tuesday at Kingdom Church (29/211 Brisbane Road, Biggera Waters), 4th October as we come together to commence our 24-hour FAST together and pray through areas of repentance on the day of atonement. The day of atonement service will commence on Tuesday for an evening session of prayer and will resume the following morning at 12:00pm with teaching at Kingdom Church.

The scripture tells us in Leviticus 16 and 23 that this day is a day of great repentance and that we are to “afflict” ourselves. The rabbis, since the time of Moses, yes, even Jesus and Paul celebrated and fasted on this event. The Day of Atonement is a day for great compassion, mercy and acts of kindness towards others. Even though we are fasting food and water on that day, it is a day for seeking the Lord to reveal areas of our own life that need to marry up to His will. An act of introspection, leading to conviction by the Holy Spirit. Traditionally, it has been believed that this is the day that the book of life, in-between, and book of death are decided upon and this correlates incredibly to the end time, day of judgement, where God decides on who will live eternally with Him or without.

FASTING NOTE: If you have any medical conditions or any concerns relating to your ability and capability to do a water and food fast, then we recommend you seek medical advice. If you feel nauseated or have constant dizziness, please drink water- uphold life.
